Class Experience
In this 8 week semester course, students will be taught half of 5th grade content, based on Georgia's Standards of Excellence. As a previous elementary teacher, I have experience teaching these standards and planning/structuring them in a way that flows and is engaging for students. My goal is to make this course student-centered, hands-on, and inquiry-based. I believe students learn best by DOING! Students will have the opportunity each week to participate in a hands-on activity/experiment....
Students will: *Identify surface features on the Earth caused by constructive and/or destructive processes. *Explain the differences between a physical and chemical change. *Investigate electricity. *Investigate magnetism and its relationship to electricity.
