Advanced Level
This ongoing math enrichment class will challenge your 5th or 6th grade student with high level thinking math concepts. Learners will practice multistep fraction operations, geometry, measurement conversions, algebra and more.. Students will expand their current mathematical knowledge with fun games, puzzles, and challenge questions designed to get them thinking out side the box, and share different methods of solving problems mathematically. This is a group course where learners will be encouraged to work individually, but also as a group to solve problems and share ideas. Teacher Rebecca is a former Algebra teacher, so her goal will be to prepare learners for the algebraic thinking and skills they will need in middle and high school with fun challenges and an encouraging atmosphere to learn and grow in their mathematical abilities. *** Please note that your learner may join this class at any time. The topics do not build on each other, and can be learned independently without prior course knowledge.
