Class Experience

This class is can be used for summer Algebra 1 prep for any student who wants Algebra 1 prep or could be a group you get to create and customize any time throughout the school year! Does your child have two or three classmates with whom they would like to have group homework help and save the cost of one-on-one tutoring? This session can be custom-made just for them, supporting them with the homework they all have in common. After the first learner is enrolled, I can make the link private, and the organizing parent can then send the link to the parents of other learners in the group so that they may enroll. This two-to-four-student tutoring session is designed to support learners with completing and understanding their homework as needed throughout the school year and can be enrolled in multiple times. It is ideal for learning pods/classmates, friends or relatives who are studying the same material or have the same homework, and want to learn together on a regular weekly or twice-weekly basis. Students will bring homework problems for completion, and together we will proceed at the small group’s pace. My teaching style is very interactive, engaging, encouraging, and fun. I will instruct your learners as needed and guide them through any issues, encouraging growth, confidence, and fun! If homework is completed before the session is finished, the teacher will check and reinforce student's understanding with additional similar problems supplied by the teacher. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Don't see a time that works for you? Contact me with your request. I also offer weekly enrollments under a separate class listing.

As an engineer and someone who has tutored 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade math, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, ACT Math Prep, Pre-calculus, and Calculus, I have a wonderful, unique perspective on the importance of a solid foundation in math, especially pre-algebra; it is essential for all math classes that follow.
I am an industrial engineer who always wanted to be a math teacher. I had fun helping my kids with math homework while they were in school, and when they started college four years ago, I began tutoring math at our local middle school as well as tutoring privately (all grades).
I am able to work with students of all different learning styles and abilities and will work at the group's pace.
I love all math, and I make it fun for kids!
