This course will look at World War II history on a weekly basis. Each week will cover various different military operations, developments, or battles that occurred during that week between 1939 and 1945. This class will look at significant events from both the Axis and Allied sides of the conflict. While the military operations and developments of the countries will be focused on, significant social and political events will also be mentioned. The class will run as an ongoing course, meaning that if students do not withdraw from the course, parents will be billed weekly for our meetings. Students are free to join and withdraw as they please from this course. Each week will include a presentation of one event in World War II history that occurred in that particular week. Students are encouraged to do their own (optional) research each week and share their findings in class. The instructor will be available digitally during the week through the Outschool classroom to consult with students who have elected to attend class in any particular week and have chosen to complete the optional research. 10/19 through 10/25: German Wonder Weapons of World War II 10/26 through 11/1: Resistance Groups of World War II 11/2 through 11/8: Planes of World War II 11/9 through 11/15: World War II Jeopardy Week
Learning Goals
Students will learn new events in World War II history. Additionally, students will begin to obtain basic knowledge on how to complete independent research on historical events.

Parental Guidance
Discussion of military battles, operations, and weaponry of World War II will be discussed in this course. Casualty numbers and other statistical data will be supplied to students as is relevant to the weekly topic. All information will be historically contextualized, and applicable to the weekly topic.
