In this 4 week course you will learn the 50 states, capitals, and abbreviations and learners will also learn interesting facts about each state. Become a geography whiz after these 4 weeks!

During this class students will be taught the location of the 50 states, capitals, and abbreviations by a certified teacher. It will take place for 4 weeks, and 1-2 regions per week will be taught. Students will also learn landmarks and interesting facts about the states. The class will be taught by using slides, physical tools, and online games. A slide presentation/lecture will be at the beginning of the class followed by games and activities to practice the region. A list of online games will be provided before class. I will also include a PDF to be printed out and filled in for the student to practice. The learner will interact with myself and the other learners throughout the class. I will use a variety of teaching strategies to help each student learn, in a way that works for them! No previous knowledge of the United States is needed, just a love for learning!

Hello parents and learners! I am a current 5th grade teacher, and have taught 4th grade previously. I have been teaching for 11 years, and have tutored in multiple ages- in person and online. My passion is teaching Reading and applying strategies for reading comprehension.
I am excited to be teaching reading strategies, grammar, geography, life skills, writing essays, and individual tutoring.
