Class Experience
Do you like Halloween as much as I do? Join me in preparation for Halloween! Every week I will send the students instructions for a craft and a Halloween coloring sheet. Instructions will be in the form of a video and the coloring sheet will be in the format of a printable PDF. A craft video and a coloring page will be sent every Sunday. I encourage students to send me a picture of their finished product in the classroom so I can comment and praise their work and to show fellow students. This is a fun class meant for fun and creative expression. There is no right or wrong. For example, I will give an example of painting a spider black but will tell students they can use any color they like. It is their creation and I want to encourage students to express themselves and show their personalities through their crafts. Here is a list of different crafts that will be sent out by week with materials needed for each week. Please have these materials handy so that your learner can complete the week's craft with ease. Week 1 (activities sent on September 25th) How to make a rock spider and coloring page We will need a flat rock smaller than the palm of your hand, googly eyes, black pipe cleaners, black paint, hot glue gun/glue sticks Week 2 (activities sent on October 2nd) How to make different kinds of ghosts and coloring page We will need white felt, googly eyes, liquid glue, white paper towel, small foam ball, thumbtack, string Week 3 (activities sent on October 9th) How to make a foam bat and coloring page We will need a black foam craft sheet, googly eyes and liquid glue Week 4 (activities sent on October 16th) How to make a safe play slime/dough and coloring page We will need 1/4 cup instant pudding mix (I used pistachio to make it green), 1 cup corn starch, 1/3 cup warm water, mixing bowl and mixing spoon Week 5 (activities sent on October 23rd) How to make an eye ball cake pop and coloring page We will need 1 prepared cupcake with frosting, about 1/2 cup of fondant, red, green and black food coloring, toothpick, clean surface
