Intermediate - Advanced Level
Students will begin to delve into AP Music Theory to prepare for the AP Music Theory Exam. Topics covered are Roman Numeral Analysis; Figured Bass Notation; Error detection; 4 part writing in root position and inversions with secondary chords (FRQ 5 & FRQ 6); Harmonization from a Melodic Line (FRQ 7) sight-singing, melodic dictation, harmonic dictation. Multiple-choice type questions (MCQs) as presented on the AP Exam. Teaching will be conducted using AP Music Theory content. Students are always engaged as they notate and complete the content topics using supplied worksheets during our lessons. Our one-on-one lessons will encourage students to ask questions and feel confident with the content as it is presented via discussion. The teacher will guide the student to arrive at the answers, allowing the student to be independent to take a school test or the AP Exam.

Pre-Requisites
Students should have a musical foundation to take the AP Exam. We can also work on fundamentals.
