1 hour per week. Students must practice each song at least 3 times per day.Class Experience
In this 4 week multi-day piano lesson course students will learn to play several classical tunes on the piano. Students will build upon skills gained in previous classes. In this class students will gain experience playing sharps, they will learn what terms such as Del Capo al Fine mean, and learn to play in 8va. Throughout this class students will become more comfortable moving around the keyboard/piano as several of the songs require moving around a bit. We will review the musical theory previously learned as well as add new theory terms. We will cover several classical songs in this class. If there is extra time it will be used to learn new scales and chords. It is my goal to cover one song each week as these are challenging songs for beginners. I suggest practicing each song at least 3 times daily. The attached sheet music must be printed before class begins. Students must have a keyboard or piano to make this class worthwhile. Students will fit right into this class if they have the ability to read music in middle C position and know basic 44 34 time signature rhythms.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi, I'm Hannah and I'm so happy you stopped by my profile! I am currently a homeschooling mom, and have been a music teacher for half my life (16 years - you do the math;).
Music has the ability to strengthen the connection beween the body and the brain to help them work together as a team, which is why I incorporate music into a lot of my classes.
The more pathways a student uses for learning something new, the more pathways they have for retrieval of the information. Because of this, I utilize multisensory techniques.
My teaching style is "I tell you, you tell me, you show me".
As per one of my favorite quotes - "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."
I offer piano lessons for beginners and intermediate learners. My classes are thorough and time efficient, but I also work at the students pace to be sure they are grasping the concepts as we move along.
