In this 8 week course, students will go through an entire 5 paragraph persuasive writing process with 1:1 guidance from me. They will be brainstorming, planning, drafting, editing, revising, and learning how to improve their writing.

Students will improve their writing by going through the writing process and writing their own persuasive 5 paragraph essay. In addition to that, students will learn about specific beneficial writing strategies to make their work more engaging to read. Specifically, the following skills/topics will be covered, taught, and practiced: all about essays, brainstorming, topic development, thesis development, planning, structure, engaging beginnings/hooks, drafting, including strong examples to support, including more detail, including transitional words, editing, and revising.
