In this 5-week art history course, we are going to get to know five famous female artists! Each class will be divided into two parts. The first 25 minutes will be a lecture (slideshow) about the stories, art movements, art styles, and paintings of the artist. The last 30 minutes will have students create their artwork based on what they have just learned and seen. Every art activities are simple, informative, and fun! One of my favorite things is visiting museums. Whether it's an art gallery or a history museum, I can spend a whole day in it. Also, I graduated from Queens University with a Bachelor's of Education in Art Education, as well as a Bachelor's of Art in Art History. I'm good at making art history clear to children in an age-appropriate language.
Class 1: - Paper - Pencil or marker - Colored pencils or crayons - Household items to create circular stamps Class 2: - Big paper - Crayon or Markers - Painters tape Class 3: - Paper - Black Sharpie - Colored Sharpies Class 4: - Paper - Pencil - Black Sharpie - Colored Sharpies Class 5 *watercolor tools needed*: - Liquid watercolors - Watercolor paper - Small plastic cups - A spray bottle with water - Something to catch the run-off paint (ex.
