Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
- Students will participate in school-readiness activities, such as calendar time, identifying the season, month, and day of the month
- Students will learn and practice their ABC's, recognizing uppercase and lowercase letters, plus all letter sounds
- Students will learn to sound out CVC words as a beginning reading skill
- Students will write all letters of the alphabet
- Students will practice saying and counting their numbers from 1-20
- Students will write the numbers 1-20
- Students will solve basic addition and subtraction problems
- Students will recognize and practice identifying colors and shapes
- Students will gain fine motor skills through art projects
- Students will interact with other students, wait their turn, raise their hands, and contribute to the group conversation
- Weekly handouts provided by the teacher - Crayons - Markers - Child-size scissors - Glue (stick or liquid)
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
When using scissors for art projects or weekly theme worksheets, young students should use child-size scissors and be monitored for safety.
