Homework is very important to keep the pace of this intermediate level class. 1 - 2 (or more) hours each week will be required to practice and drill to complete the 'Look and Learn' processes Review my videos and sheet from class. Cuber's or suggested to practice in a well lite area. Cuber's are suggested to seat at a table to solve. Welcome to 4x4 Yau method class, a method top speed cuber's use for solving the 4x4 Cube! Cube Coach Michael is excited to teach this class to help cuber's who want to get better time for the 4x4 Cube and those considering a cubing competition. This class is for those who ‘FULLY’ understand how to solve the 4x4 cube but may have only done beginner (reduction) method, or you may be looking to better your efforts to learn/understand 4x4 Yau Method. What is Yau? Robert Yau proposed this method in 2009 to build and preserve cross followed by reducing rotation in pairing edges faster for sub 1 minute solves. Week 1 Walk through understanding and best approach for solving your first two centers. Building and preserving cross edges. Week 2 Build last 4 centers while preserving the cross edges Week 3 3 - 2 - 3 edge pairing while preserving the cross edges. Week 4 Discuss all variations and challenges that occur with solving with 4x4 YAU. Recognize and apply correct algorithms to solve the 4x4 cube Q & A This class is not for beginner's learning to solve the 4x4 cube, this class is for those looking to speed up solving and understanding the 4x4 better. *NO Carbon Fiber Cubes (Black with color on trim) - They are very challenging to see online and the colors blend. *This class will cover how to apply the Yau method to speed solve the 4x4. * This class is a 4 week commitment if more than 2 class are missed, learners my not be able to catch up and may need to repeat the entire class. * See supply needed for this class * Must know how to solve a 4x4 Cube without any assistance from guides.

Need 1 - 2 good (Speed Cubes) 4x4 Cubes -Timer - something with stopwatch feature -Soft mat or towel for cubes to land on Color print out of each week's sheets Folder to keep notes and sheets together Suggested -Lube for cube's - DNM-37 3ml ($4) or Stardust ($5). - Stack Timer and mat if you are training for competitions ($20 - $40) - Carry bag for cubes on the go
