Class Experience

In this ongoing class, students will compete against each other in a new Kahoot math game each week. We will practice various concepts learned in 4th and 5th grade. This would be a great class for current 4th and 5th grade students, 3rd graders who are advanced, or even 6th graders who need a refresher on topics from previous years.

We will use a mix of standard operations and word problems to get the students used to looking for key information and solving multi-step problems. The first handful of games will focus on:

Week of January 10 ~ Addition and Subtraction (2 and 3 digit numbers)
Week of Jan 17 ~ Fractions - general knowledge
Week of Jan 24 ~ Fractions - adding and subtracting with and without like denominators
Week of Jan 31 ~ Multiplication (up to 2 and 3 digits)
Week of Feb 7 ~ Division (up to 2 and 3 digit dividends)
Week of Feb 14 ~ Multiplication (up to 2 and 3 digits)
Week of Feb 21 ~ Addition and Subtraction (2 and 3 digit numbers)

I run a very comfortable, friendly, inclusive classroom, and want everyone to simply do their best. Mistakes are just fine - that's how you learn!
Learning Goals
