Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class, students will compete against each other in a new Kahoot math game each week. We will practice various concepts learned in 4th and 5th grade. This would be a great class for current 4th and 5th grade students, 3rd graders who are advanced, or even 6th graders who need a refresher on topics from previous years. 

We will use a mix of standard operations and word problems to get the students used to looking for key information and solving multi-step problems.  The first...

Students will become more comfortable with multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and various other 4th and 5th grade math concepts.

I am a former classroom teacher who focuses on math at all levels of elementary and middle school. I hold a Masters degree in Education, and love helping kids develop a better understanding, and sometimes even a love, of math!

You can play Kahoot on a separate device, such as a smartphone or ipad, or you can pull up another window on the device you are using for Outschool. Either will work just fine, though a second device will be easier to navigate.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
