Class Experience
Week 1- The verb Estar conjugation Week 2- Adverbs of place and sentence formation with the verb Estar (animal vocabulary review) Week 3- The difference between Ser and Estar Week 4- Using Ser and Estar to write about family and the home Week 5-6 Activities/ leisure Week 7- The verb tener, emotions and expressions with the verb Week 8- Review the quarter's material and students will share a short presentation about his/her leisure activities
I have a Master's degree in Education, a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and I am certified to teach Spanish K-12. I have taught students ages 4-18 from beginning Elementary Spanish to Level IV high school. I also have extensive experience teaching ESL to learners of English. Students will have the opportunity to solidify new and review information with a short assignment found at the end of each week's Google slide presentation. Each week's presentation will be posted on Outschool. At times, students will be asked to complete a content specific project. These will be short in class projects that may, depending on how quickly an individual student works, need some additional time to complete at home.
Informal during class and feedback on all homework assignments completed
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be asked to participate in class by logging in to Kahoot or Quizlet for learning games. This may require an initial sign in with an email in order to access these activities.
