4th Grade Singapore Math Dimensions Book 4B-Small Group

This is 4th grade half-year curriculum that is aligned with US national standards for the second half of the school year. It would be great as a review for 4th-6th grade students who need a little extra help or advanced 3rd grade students who want to be challenged. This is a traditional math class taught similar to class at school. Great for homeschoolers too! Contact me if you need a specific time scheduled and I can try to accommodate you! Lessons covered:
Weeks 1-2 - Measurement- metric units, customary units of length, weight, capacity, units of time
Weeks 3-4 -Fractions and Measurement, 
Weeks 5-6- Area - rectangles, composite figures and Perimeter 
Weeks 7-8 - Decimals - tenths, hundredths, expressing as fractions
Weeks 9-10 - Decimals - expressing fractions as decimals, comparing/ordering, rounding
Weeks 11-12 - Decimals-addition/subtraction with regrouping,
Weeks 13-14 - Decimals- multiplication and dividing
Weeks 15-16 - Angles- size, measuring, drawing, adding/subtracting angles, Perpendicular Lines, Parallel lines, Quadrilaterals
Weeks 17-18 - Lines of Symmetry, Symmetrical Figures and Patterns, Properties of Cuboids- nets, faces, edges

Paper and pencil are the only required materials. Slides will be taught in textbook fashion with interactive drill/practice features when possible. This is a small group class which could have 1-6 students. All learners will have many opportunities to practice each skill individually and corrections will be made to ensure comprehension. Participation will ensure understanding. 

In addition to the live meetings, an independent practice activity can be posted upon request after each meeting so that students can practice learned skills independently if needed. The answer keys for any paper/pencil activities will be posted just before the next class meeting.

The progression of this class feeds into the next class which covers Book 5A of the Grade 5 Singapore Dimensions textbook. 

This class will not be cancelled for low enrollment.
