Class experience
US Grade 4
Students will dive into vocabulary needed at the 4th and 5th grade level. They will new vocabulary words to creative writing and learn the context behind the words. Students will then dive into reading comprehension passages to fully understand the vocabulary words of the lesson. The class is a 4 week class of multisensory techniques. Students will see and hear a song (of High Frequency Words for 4th and 5th Grade). They have the opportunity to dance to the music as long as they focus....
This class is taught in English.
Students will grow in rich vocabulary of the English language. They will practice and learn reading comprehension skills and learn how to word attack. They will study parts of words: prefixes and suffixes in order to read multisyllabic words. Students will learn commonly misspelled words. Also, students will also engage in writing sentences to show comprehension of new vocabulary and create stories, participating in fun, creative writing.
Homework Offered
Homework is assigned each class for students to watch the Youtube videos I assign.Assessments Offered
Students are assessed as they help me build sentences and stories throughout class. Their oral reading is assessed as they read the passages out loud. Then they learn how to pronounce words effectively.Grades Offered
