In this class students will learn a variety of concepts based on 4th grade math curriculum. Concepts were pulled from various sources. Multiple teaching methods will be used including but not limited to: lecture, discussion, questioning, digital learning, and drill and practice. We can not leave out a little drill and practice in a math course. Students are expected to actively participate as away to assess their learning. The goal in this class is for the students to gain the knowledge necessary to feel confident and capable in solving mathematical problems in the fourth grade curriculum. This will also ready the students for 5th grade.
I am a certified educator of 25 years. For 20 of my teaching years I taught 4th -8th grade math. I also have a Special Education certification and an ESL certification that will allow me to accommodate as needed for various students.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
