Class Experience
Students entering this class should have completed grade 3. In this ongoing math class, students will learn about and practice various standards of grade 4. Oftentimes, the teacher will have a presentation to discuss the topic of the week. We will discuss topics where the teacher uses a whiteboard and markers. Students will watch the teacher do an example, then help the teacher with an example, and try various examples on their own. Topics vary from week to week. Although each topic can...
Paper, pencil, and color-coding materials (colored pencils, markers, crayons) OR whiteboard, whiteboard marker, and color-coding materials (other colors for whiteboard markers) At times, the teacher will use Google's Jamboard. Students may receive a private chat from the teacher with access to their personal Jamboard. This allows for better collaboration.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
