My name is Melanie Hughes. I am an elementary teacher, and I have taught in public schools for 30 years. I have certifications in Early Childhood – 6th grade, Special Education, and ESL. As a classroom teacher, I saw the need for smaller group learning to reinforce skills. In my classes, the pace is set by the group of learners. The goal is to improve the student's understanding of math and perhaps even help them enjoy it. I am looking forward to meeting all my new students and taking the 4th-grade math journey together.
Homework Offered
At the end of each class, I will review with students and give them homework for extra practice. We will cover a lot of material during each session so it is beneficial for students to practice outside of class to comprehend each lesson.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
