### Class Experience

```The goal of this class is to give students a solid understanding of the fundamental standards they are expected to learn during the 4th grade year. These concepts are important building blocks to future math success. The specific goal for each class is as follows:
Students can:
Week 1: Expressing Place Value (Expanded, Word, and Standard Form)
Week 2: Comparing Numbers
Week 3: Rounding Numbers
Week 4: Multiplying and Dividing by Multiples of 10
Week 5: Generate and Analyze Patterns
Week 6: Adding and Subtracting Using the Standard Algorithm
Week 7: Understanding Factors and Multiples (old lesson 2-fix-Current students-round)
Week 8: Multiplication (4-digit by 1-digit and 2-digit by 2-digit)
Week 9: Division (4-digit dividend by 1-digit divisor)
Week 10: Practice Solving Word Problems with All Operations
Week 11: Understanding Fractions and Equivalent Fractions
Week 12: Compare two fractions with different numerators and different denominators.
Week 13: Understand Addition of Fractions
Week 14: Understand Subtraction of Fractions
Week 15: Multiply a Fraction by a Whole Number.
Week 16: Understand Decimal and Fractions and Compare Decimals
Week 17: Add 10th and 100ths
Week 18: Measurement and Conversion
Week 19: Solve Problems with Area and Perimeter
Week 20: Angles/Points, Lines, Rays, and Geometry```
`Students will be provided with practice pages following each class.  These are optional.`
`Please bring a dry erase board and marker to class if possible.`
`In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube`
`Learners will be assessed informally through group quizzes and questions throughout class. `
`50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.`
`I will post optional Youtube videos to watch prior to class in order to review the concepts. Youtube does require a google account to watch videos. This is an optional part of the class and it will be no problem to continue with the course if you choose not to watch the videos,   `
