Class Experience

This class focuses on reviewing mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on a 4th grade level.  The goal of this class is to help students build confidence in their ability to solve 4th grade level mathematical operations. 

To start class, Teacher Tommy will introduce himself and welcome the class. We will play the review game called "4th Grade Math Mania".  If the class has enough students, we can divide into teams or students can play...

Students will improve their understanding of 4th grade mathematical operational problems (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in a digital game against their classmates.

I am a certified special education/elementary teacher with over 6 years of experience. My goal as a teacher is to help children retain and make positive strides in their educational skills. The skills that children develop at a young age will help build them for success when they are older. Those same skills will be what they use in their every day life as an adult. I am committed to help your child be confident in their skills and create a positive learning environment for them to have success. I look forward to helping your child grow their skills in math and become more confident in their ability to solve mathematical problems.

No homework is assigned.

Students will need the following: 

Something to write with such as: 
-pencil
-dry erase marker

Something to write on: 
-2 or 3 sheets of paper
-dry erase whiteboard

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students are assessed throughout the class as they participate in the digital online math game.

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

There is no inappropriate content during this class. Parental guidance is not required but parents can watch our class if they wish.

This class will not reference any books or supplemental materials.
