US Grade 4
I love teaching math! In this class, students will learn fourth grade math skills! This class meets twice a week, and automatically re-enrolls each week! I teach in a patient and engaging manner, so students will feel comfortable learning! This class begins in January 2025! If you would like to enroll at a different time than what is listed, please click 'request another time' on the website; thank you! Here is a tentative schedule, subject to change based on the needs and interests of students! Week of January 13: Algebra - Identify place value and read numbers up to the millions place Week of January 20: Algebra - Add and subtract, write the expanded form of numbers Week of January 27: Algebra - Multiply and divide numbers within 100 Week of February 3: Algebra - Multiply numbers in the thousands place Week of February 10: Algebra - Divide numbers in the thousands place Week of February 17: Fractions - Describe equivalent fractions and compare fractions Week of February 24: Fractions - Add and subtract fractions Week of March 3: Fractions - Add and subtract fractions, simplify fractions Week of March 10: Fractions - Write fractions as decimals Week of March 17: Measurement - Describe different units of measurement Week of March 24: Measurement - Convert between different units of measurement Week of March 31: Measurement - Find the area and perimeter of rectangles Week of April 7: Measurement - Write and interpret bar graphs and line plots Week of April 14: Geometry - Recognize and draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles Week of April 21: Spring Break Week of April 28: Geometry - Discuss circles, vocabulary to describe circles, and how to compare angles within circles Week of May 5: Geometry - Determine angle measurements using a protractor and by adding or subtracting based on diagrams Week of May 12: Geometry - Classify two dimensional figures based on lines and angles Week of May 19: Geometry - Recognize and draw lines of symmetry Week of May 26: Review Week of June 1: Review
