Class Experience
US Grade 4 - 5
Students will read and discuss American Literary Classics. Students will write brief essays for homework assignments and have a 3-5 page compare and contrast essay due by the end of the semester. Classes will be in a lecture format. Students should bring "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" to the first class. Reading List will include: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum American Tall Tales by Mary Pope...
Students will be given a reading assignment each week.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
