Class Experience
Please note that this class can be joined at any time based on learners' needs. This class is designed to help 4th and 5th graders reinforce their math skills through real-world activities and interactive games. The class will cover a range of math concepts, following a combined scope and sequence for both grades. Each week, a new skill will be introduced through a mini-lesson, followed by a fun activity or game for practice. Students can join at any time, as the classes do not build upon...
Learners will review and reinforce 4th and 5th grade math skills and concepts. Learners will build confidence, making math more enjoyable and less frustrating for all.
Hello! My name is Robin. I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education (Math/Science Emphasis) and hold a K-6 Teaching Certificate in the state of Florida. After over 20 years in the classroom, and with a renewed joy of teaching, I have been teaching online for the last 6 years! Throughout the years, I have taught learners from 2nd - 11th grade, but 3rd-6th grades are where my heart is. My goal is to build confidence, making learning more enjoyable and less frustrating for all!
Any activities I send as additional practice will be optional.
Basic math supplies will be needed for our lessons such as: pencil, paper, scissors, and a ruler. Any attachments or supplies that will be needed will be posted in the classroom at least 24 hours before class. If you do not receive a message there will be no supplies needed other than the basic paper & pencil.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Scissors may be used in one or more of these classes. Parental guidance is suggested while learners are using scissors. (Please note the Outschool safety policy to remain off-camera while assisting your learner.) If time permits, we may use GIMKIT to reinforce class content.
I will attach any source material that may be needed for class in the classroom.
Meet the teacher
