Class Experience
As a previous 4th grade math teacher, I am very familiar with all of the Common Core standards. With students expected to "show their work" using specific strategies taught in class, math assignments and homework can be a struggle for parents. Often, these strategies are a lot different than what you, as a parent, are familiar with. Being a younger, experienced teacher, I have only taught Math using these strategies, so I would love to help your learner feel successful in Math. When...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will be informally assessed throughout class. As students solve problems in class, I will use this to determine if skills need to be re-taught or if I can challenge the student more. Parents will be provided feedback after class.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
