Assessment
Consistent feedback will be given during every lesson helping the student to understand what musical technique or skill to develop next.Class Experience
πΆβ¨ In our lesson we will focus on musical elements such as pitch, rhythm, dynamics and musical expression. It is important for flute students to understand these musical elements and how they are so vital in creating a musical performance. We will go through technical exercises as well as learning and playing pieces. The musical styles can be adapted to each individual learner to cover pop, jazz, ad classical playing. The lesson content will be tailored for the needs and ability of the learner. Therefore, this is an ideal class for a student just starting out on the flute who wants to know how to master the basics of flute playing or for the music student working on more complex solo pieces for auditions and exams. By the end of the session the student will have mastered a new musical concept linked with technique, musicality or the piece they are learning. This will give the student a clear goal for practising and improving their flute playing.
Learning Goals
In every lesson the student will learn, develop or master a specific musical skill that will help them develop as a player and grow in confidence as a musician.
