Description

Class Experience

This is a one-on-one class designed to function as a private violin lesson.  I will work with each violin student to improve their playing ability and learn to play pieces of music.  I am also happy to make recommendations for pieces to work on and new technique to learn!  This course is ideal for a student who has already had some violin training and would now like to have an hour of lesson time each week. I offer my expertise in an encouraging and uplifting virtual studio environment....

Students will be assisted in reaching their full potential on one of the most beautiful instruments - the violin!  I offer simple technical solutions and practice tips to help students of any level progress and achieve their goals!

I have an undergraduate degree in Music Performance on violin from the University of Victoria and a masters degree in Music Performance on violin from the University of Ottawa.  I also studied in the Advanced Performance Program in the Academy for Gifted Youth at Mount Royal Conservatory in Calgary.  During my studies I acted as a teaching assistant at both Mount Royal Conservatory and the University of Ottawa.  I have been a teaching artist with the Orkidstra program in Ottawa, and have spent many years teaching both private students and group classes.

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
