Class Experience

This game mimics the popular 4 pics 1 word app game. It is set up for students to decipher the vocabulary words using the picture and letters given. Students will first be briefly introduced to new vocabulary before the game starts. Then, students will be given images to help them guess the word as well as scrambled letters (not all letters will be used). Students work to identify and spell the word correctly before the other students! Student with the most points win! Great fun and practice for all students in older elementary grades. All students are encouraged and expected to participate!

I have many different levels for this game! If you are not sure if this level is right for your child, please email me!

👋 Hello, and thank you for visiting my Outschool profile! Since I was 5 years-old, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. Now, 7 years in my career, I still love it. There is nothing that I enjoy more than helping my students reach their goals and become better readers, writers, and thinkers. In all of my classes, I incorporate evidence-based techniques and strategies and focus on making learning enjoyable.

In my brick-and-mortar classes, I work with all levels of students (IEP students, general education, and high ability students). My goal as a teacher is to foster critical thinking and communication skills in order to help your child achieve their goals and become more proficient readers, writers, and critical thinkers. More than that, I encourage students to fall in love with learning.

For Outschool, I teach literature-based courses, novel studies, writing courses, grammar, vocabulary/etymology, test prep, and reading comprehension/strategies. My classes cater to all learning types and students are expected to participate in order to get the most out of the lesson. Students will complete my classes feeling accomplished and successful, as building confidence and true enjoyment in the subject is my first priority.

I have specialized training/experience in helping students prepare for most types of test prep including: PSAT, SAT, NWEA, MAP tests, AP Literature Test, High school entrance exams (ISEE/SSAT (all levels), HSPT, and SHSAT

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and being frequently caffeinated.
