Description

Class Experience

Learners will study HASS (Humanities & Social Sciences): Civics & Citizenship, History, Geography, and Economics & Business at Year / Grade 2, Year / Grade 3, and/or Year / Grade 4 levels. 
I am a lawyer in Australia, and I have homeschooled my own children for the past 8 years and will continue to do so for at least another 17 years (my youngest child is 1y as of 2022). 

I have degrees, post-graduate, and professional qualifications in the following:

- Law - Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, Admission as a Lawyer;

- TESOL - I have completed 8 out of 8 units towards the 150-hour qualification. When I receive my official professional certificate from Arizona State University I will update this here as it is expected to take up to 8 weeks to arrive;

- Criminology;
- I.T. Security;

I have also travelled to a dozen different countries all over the world, including some of the countries that we will discuss in class.
Learners will need to finish the work that they were working on in class that day in their own time if they did not finish it during class time. They can either upload a screenshot or a document to the classroom, or show their work in person at the start of the next class. Each class recording will be made available so that learners who need to can review the lesson from each day before moving on to the next day.
Learners will need paper and pens or pencils to write with to complete tasks. Relevant handouts will be uploaded at the start of the week to the classroom to be printed out ahead of classes.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Appropriate formal grade-level assessments will be conducted at the request of the learner or their parents/guardians.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

- The learners do NOT need to access anything on the internet outside of Outschool for this class.
- When applicable, I may screen share slides from Google Slides, and I may also screen share YouTube.
