4 Day Art Summer Camp: Learn to Draw & Paint Flowers & Landscapes With Ms. Liz
What's included
4 live meetings
4 hrs 40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
I'm so excited to be sharing my love for painting nature scenes with you! In this 4-day art camp, students will practice basic acrylic painting techniques (color mixing and blending) by creating the featured paintings in the class photo. I will be guiding students step by step to paint along with me each day, and students will always be encouraged to be creative in their paintings. I will allow time for adding extra embellishments like more features, different colors, extra highlights, etc., to really make each painting their own. At the end of each day, students will leave with a beautiful and complete acrylic painting, which means that by day 4, they will have finished 4 paintings.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
My name is Liz Brent (the kids call me Ms. Liz) and I am so excited that you're here!
I'm a Chicago-based business owner, teaching art classes to kids all over the world.
I have a passion for sharing the joy of painting with others, and I truly love what I do!
My teaching practice has taken me into schools, community art centers and summer camps all over Illinois, and now I've expanded with online teaching for kids and adults.
I'm a professional acrylic painter with a BFA in Art Education and a Masters in Special Education LBS1. I'm in my 8th year of overall art teaching experience, with 3 years experience as a high school Special Education teacher and case manager.
My teaching is always focused on diverse learners, and incorporating differentiated instruction however possible.
I have experience teaching art to a wide range of students, including those with Anxiety, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional/ Behavior Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Developmental Disabilities.
I truly love working with kids, and love that I get to do it every day.
I believe that every child has something truly unique to share with the world, and their creativity must be praised and cultivated.
I'm on a mission to make art more accessible for all, one class at a time, by creating lessons that cater to my students' differing styles, no matter their age, ability, or background.
I believe in creating an environment of fun and exploration. Not lecture-based, but students and I learning and creating together.
I look forward to painting with your learner in class!
