In this one-hour class, students will review 3rd-grade concepts and will be exposed to new and challenging methods for multiplication and division, fractions, and decimals. This is a fast-paced course. Students should be comfortable with addition and subtraction and have a general understanding of multiplication ( 1 x 1 methods). This class is taught in English.
Students will gain a better understanding of multiplication and division methods by focusing their attention on the basic multiplication and division facts and their connection to higher math functions.
Title I math teacher. Director of Boys & Girls Clubs that focused on STEM education. Academic Advisor -High School (assist in Algebra as a part of position)
I will challenge students to work on certain problems between classes. I will not require it, though.
I will be sending an assessment to see how students understood the lessons.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
IXL Learning will be used from screen sharing of the instructor. Students do not need their own accounts when I am sharing this resource. For Kahoot, I will share a code and students will need access to their computer or another electronic device to follow along when this is being played.
