Roald Dahl's books are intended for children ages 8+. I'm happy to have younger children in the class who can read and write at this level.
There are some topics in Roald Dahl's books that your child may be sensitive to.
In Fantastic Mr. Fox the Fox is shot in the tail by a farmer.
In James and the Giant Peach there is some racist language, suggesting that all Mexicans like to eat grasshoppers.
