Class Experience

US Grade 3
This course is for students who just finished 3rd grade going into 4th grade. As a class we will review key skills and concepts learned in 3rd grade to get students ready for 4th grade while filling in any learning gaps they may have from the previous year. This is a great class to keep students refreshed in their learning so they retain all their knowledge from the previous school year!

Each week, we will review one standard or skill from 3rd grade. We will review an ELA skill one week, then a math skill the next week, and continue alternating to keep these foundational skills fresh on each learner's mind. Along with live classes, I will post optional activities and work packets for students to review these skills independently outside of class.

I will be using the Common Core standards for math and ELA and you can find what standard we will be covering each week in our schedule below:

Week 1: Attributes of Shapes (3.G.A.1, 3.MD.D.8)

Week 2: Character Traits, Feelings, and Motivations (RL.3.3)

Week 3: Graphs (3.MD.B.3)

Week 4: Point of View (RL.3.6, RI.3.6)

Week 5: Multiplication (3.OA.A.1, 3.OA.A.4, 3.OA.B.5, 3.OA.C.7)

Week 6: Main Idea and Key Details (RI.3.2)

Week 7: Division (3.OA.A.2, 3.OA.A.4, 3.OA.B.5, 3.OA.B.6, 3.OA.C.7)
