Show and Tell - Your child can use their creativity to show the colors and layers of Earth. See page 204. Example ideas: use different colored playdough to layer the colors, draw and color, or paint the layers, make a beaded bracelet using the colors of the Earth's layers, or make a cake or cookies with different colored icing.

We are going to begin learning about the types of soil. This is a good time for you to observe what type of soil you have in your area. Here in north Georgia, we have the red clay type of soil. Parents, please help your child observe if they have more clay, sandy, or silt soil.
