Hello👋and thank you for your interest in this Minecraft themed 3rd grade math review class! I am so happy you are here. Does your learner need to improve their math skills and need some motivation? Or does your learner love math AND Minecraft? In this ongoing, weekly class, we will be practicing 3rd grade math skills through fun interactive activities and games with a Minecraft theme. Your learner will be begging to come back each week! (The actual game, Minecraft, will not be played during this class.) In my experience, making learning fun through games is one of the best ways to increase engagement while practicing and refining math skills. *EACH CLASS IS INDEPENDENT OF EACH OTHER AND STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THIS ONGOING CLASS AT ANY TIME. 👍 Class Outline: 1. Introductions, getting to know each other, class rules 2. Warm up problem 3. Mini-Lesson 4. I also utilize the gradual release method, (I do, we do, you do). In my years of teaching experience, I have found that students are all unique, and each class is unique. My goal is to make learning fun and engaging. I adapt the classroom and instruction to the needs of the students so that they can feel confident and are successful in math class and the learning goal is met. I love teaching, and after 10 years in a brick and mortar setting, I am thrilled to be an Outschool teacher, and love the flexibility it offers to my students and the classroom design. 🤗Here's what parents are saying about my teaching style and other classes: "Jennifer is wonderful with the kids... I've never seen my kids eager to attend a session, so that's a BIG plus. My girls were excited to do the Kahoot activities at the end and for practice." "My granddaughter has enjoyed this program. Pacing is great. All learners are participating. Good lesson and then she enjoys the kahoot game." "This was a great class and the teacher kept it fun! I feel much better that my child will be more prepared for the school year and I think he does too. My son also really enjoyed the Kahoot! games at the end. I even think he enjoyed the additional Kahoot! challenges that were sent out after class as well. I would certainly like to sign my son up for this teacher again. Great experience!"
