Teacher expertise and credentials
New York Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
I have been teaching mathematicians from PreK through 6th grade for the past 19 years in New York City. I love teaching new strategies to make math accessible for all learners, integrating a lot of visuals, games & manipulatives. My goal is to have all students walk away with a love of math by making sure our math lessons are more engaging, hands-on, related to real world cultures AND more importantly FUN!

Professionally, I have worked at a public school in NYC for the past 19 years, in different roles, including working with students with disabilities, gifted & talented students and multi-language learners. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary & Special Education; Masters Degree in Childhood Education and Educational Leadership. I am currently working as an Instructional Coach, supporting teachers in creating curriculum & improving their teaching practices.

I can't wait to visit the Museum of Math this summer & spending time in the sunshine with my corgi puppy named Winifred Elizabeth Wigglebottom!
