This class is geared toward pressure-free fun learning and practice. After 8 weeks, learners will receive a certificate of completion. US Grade 3
Ready for 3rd grade math? Let's learn multiplication and division! Each class will start with a short mini-lesson on a multiplication and/or division concept. Then, we will play fun interactive games to practice and build confidence! Get $5 off my classes with coupon code BLAYLQEOI35 until May 5, 2025! This class is best for learners who already know how to add and subtract. We will build on that knowledge to learn how to multiply and divide. We will meet for one 45-minute session each week to cover the following skills: 1. Week of May 4-10: Introduction to Multiplication - Equal Groups 2. Week of May 11-17: Multiplication with Arrays 3. Week of May 18-24: Multiplication with Number Lines 4. Week of May 25-31: Multiplication Word Problems 5. Week of June 1-7: Introduction to Division - Fair Shares 6. Week of June 8-14: Division - Using Multiplication to Solve Division 7. Week of June 15-21: Division with Number Lines 8. Week of June 22-28: Division Word Problems 9. Week of June 29-July 5: Multiplication and Division Facts Practice 10. Week of July 6-12: We will cycle back to Week 1 - Introduction to Multiplication. You may like to continue joining us for more practice or advance to the next level!
Learning Goals
Students will understand and be able to solve multiplication problems with equal groups, repeated addition, arrays, and number line models.
Students will understand and be able to solve division problems with fair shares, related multiplication facts, and number line models.

I am a former certified, licensed public school teacher and current homeschool mom (to my 6-year-old son who has also enjoyed learning multiplication and division!). I spent ten years working in public schools where I taught all subjects as a classroom teacher in 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human development from Virginia Tech and a Master of Education degree from the College of William and Mary.
