In this class we will be learning how to multiply using a strategy involving groups and counters in order to help students grasp the concept of multiplication. We will work on our 2's, 3's and 4's , multiplication facts! As a certified teacher, I love using the I do, we do, you do method. I will work through an example , we will collaborate on a few examples together, then I will release the student/students to work on a problem independently to see what the learner have accomplished and where I can assist and help with any misconceptions. Your learner will need paper and pencils only.

Hi I'm Ms. Kay,
Im so excited to join the OutSchool community. I currently teach 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. My specialty subject would have to be math, I have taught math for more than 3 years out of my 6 years of teaching. I have a Reading endorsement as well as an ESOL endorsement. While being a teacher I have taken courses in how to help students succeed in math and how to read and understand state testing questions. I am here to help students along the way as they enter grade levels that require state testing. I am able to help students break down, understand and execute a problem with confidence. Helping students feel confident in math is what makes this all worth it. When I am not teaching or tutoring, I am always traveling and enjoying life.
