US Grade 3
Beginner Level
Multiplication and division are critical foundation skills for students in the 3rd grade and older. In this class students will be introduced to 2 new multiplication or division strategies each week so that students can gain a deep understanding of these skills. Each week's instructional videos are organized using the gradual release model where students are given high support in the beginning of the video and then are able to complete work more independently and with more confidence by they end of the video. Throughout each video students will be prompted to pause their video frequently to think about a concept or work through problems and then unpause their video to go over how to get each answer. At the end of each class video students will be prompted to complete their extra practice worksheet for additional practice with each strategy. *Attention: This is a self-paced class and videos and worksheets can be completed at whatever pace the student/family is comfortable with. The instructor is available to help with any questions students/families may have about the content of the provided lessons and worksheets. A Message From the Founder:
As a current 3rd grade public school teacher of 5 years and a current Outschool teacher, I know that students simply learn different today than they did only a few years ago. This knowledge has required me to find creative and fun ways to provide Common Core curriculum to students in a different and refreshing ways that fits how kids learn today. When designing classes for Teaching Done Different it is always my aim to help students learn rigorous material in such a fun way that they don't even realize they are learning.
