In this class students will be learning all about measurement according to the Common Core State Standards for 3rd grade math. Students will be learning about how to read and analyze time on both analog and digital clocks, how to measure with a ruler to the nearest quarter inch and how to measure mass and volume of various objects using various units. Students will be able to tell time, understand elapsed time, measure objects to the nearest quarter inch, and measure the volume and mass of various objects.
Students will be provided with a weekly extra practice worksheet for the skill practiced that week.
Students are encouraged to bring paper and pencil or a white board and dry erase marker to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
