**Each student will receive a "Certificate of Completion" in their Outschool Inbox for successfully completing the course.** During this fun 3-Day Camp, students will learn important principles of good sportsmanship; and how to respond when they win or lose a game. Many fun activities, games, and crafts await! Class Description: It is common for young children to struggle with the idea of losing - whether it is in sports, or while playing computer games/ video games. Let's face it...No one likes to lose, not even adults! It's important to validate a child's feelings of sadness all while teaching the child to not be rude or outwardly angry towards others. Please see below the 3-Day Lesson Outline & related activities. Day 1: What is Sportsmanship? What are rules and what happens when they aren't followed? Playing by the Rules (Kahoot) Being a Team Player (Team Challenge Play-Doh Task) Day 2: Being a Good Friend (Skit/Role Playing with toys) It's Okay to Make Mistakes (Bingo Game) No Trash talking (Arts & Crafts Sorting Activity) Being Respectful When You Win & Gracious When You Lose (Coloring Page) Day 3: Scavenger Hunt (Escape Room) Breakout Challenge: It's Field Day at School! Supply List
Supplies for class: 1) Please bring any art supplies such as crayons/markers/colored pencils 2) Print the worksheets out before class. The file will be uploaded 24 hours before the class start time. 3) Assorted Play-Doh colors 4) Virtual Bingo Board: link will be provided in class chat 5) Separate electronic device (smartphone or iPad/ or web browser tab) for Kahoot. The code will be provided in the class chat.

I have almost 10 years of teaching experience, teaching children of all ages Pre-K to 12th grade. Some of my classroom experience includes teaching children with special needs; behavioral problems; ESL students. I've taught Sunday school lessons to elementary aged kids for 7 years. I am also a former public middle school Intensive Reading Teacher and private school principal. Now a mother to two young children with another little one of the way. Currently hold certification to teach Grades 1-5. What can I say...I love teaching and making learning fun!
