3D Paper Flowers + Botany - Vol. 1 (3-Day Course)
Class experience
Do you love flowers and paper crafting? Join me as we learn about plant anatomy and take a few simple materials to create a beautiful 3D paper flower. Following our class discussion on plant anatomy, I'll guide you, step-by-step, as you create your very own flower specimen. I'll use two cameras, with one focused on the flower construction so learners can closely follow along. There are no special skills required! A backdown of each day is as follows: Day 1 - We'll learn about flower anatomy...
Students will learn about basic flower anatomy and role each component plays in the life of the flower. They'll also practice following instructions in sequential order as they transform a few simple everyday items into a beautiful 3D flower.
- Flower petal printouts (I print on colored card stock, but regular printer/copy paper is okay too.) - Elmer's Glue-All (Using cardstock? You can use hot glue, but only if your parent thinks it's okay.) - Scissors Optional, but helpful Items: - Ruler (for curling petals) - Paint brush (applying Elmer's glue evenly) - Paper plate (glue palette)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners will need to use scissors, parental guidance may be necessary. Students will need to spend 15-20 mins before each class cutting out flower components. A PDF of flower components can be found in the classroom section a few days before class begins.
