Learn math (geometry) through pop-up cards! In this camp you will learn how to make squares, rectangles, triangles and similar shapes in order to be able to make a Spaceship as your final project! If you’ve already attended my classes before then you are ready to dive into this fun course! Even if you haven't attended any pop-up card classes you are still welcome to join and try it out, this class does not build up on the previous classes. **You will learn the basic pop-up principles although this class is a bit more advanced than my beginners class, if you have never done any paper projects I highly recommend to try my beginners class/course** We will focus on the cutting, folding, creasing and scoring techniques. What we will do: Class I - Counter-folds (how to make squares (buildings) and triangles (faces)) Class II - Pointed V-folds (used for architectural shapes) Class III - We will combine counter-folds and v-folds to create an object (a spaceship or similar, students can be creative) Let's learn how to make standing pop-up mechanisms and paper sculptures!
Learning Goals
Students will experiment with paper of different sizes, colours and thickness and practice cutting and folding different shapes . The result is to have fun and create a project by adding some drawings to complete the story.
They can even decorate the card the way they like with the materials they already have.
