Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Artists will review the fundamentals of drawing spheres in 3D and learn more about how to combine them into familiar objects. Artists will be comfortable with using a simple pencil as a powerful drawing tool. Artists will understand and be able to apply the concepts of foreshortening, shading, shadows, contour, overlapping, and placement. We will understand and use the Value Scale to give our drawings context and impact.
I have taught this class to literally hundreds of children, both in person as well as via remote learning platforms. I have a second bird’s-eye-view camera so learners can see my drawing clearly on their screen. I will be drawing all these examples right along with you.
• Two #2 wooden pencils, sharpened and ready to go • Drawing paper. I like card stock from the office supply store or white construction paper. Regular office paper will also serve. • Ruler • Scissors
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
