Class experience
Do you love to design in 3D and want to share your ideas with a group of like minded kids? Are you struggling with 3D design and need help completing a project? In 3D Design Club, we will share our designs, brainstorm ideas for design improvements, and share 3D printing tips and techniques. We also will have class time to do Q and A on how each design was made to give constructive feedback and encouragement. Students will learn to present their projects, provide and receive constructive and positive feedback, and socialize with other like minded students.
I have a civil engineering degree and worked as a civil designer for 5 years in cad modeling applications. I've used wed-based platforms for over 5 years to teach 3D modeling to middle-school and high-school students, and I love seeing what my students create!
Homework Offered
We may, on occasion, divide into teams to solve an engineering problem. If we do, we may work in those teams over the one week for about an hour or two.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Please have your parent or guardian approve your Tinkecad account before getting started. If you are under 13, you will need to get your parent's approval first, which may require a verification process. If you'd like to 3D print your design and don't have a 3D printer, we will discuss how you can send your file to a 3D printing company.
