30 Min.-Individualized Private Tutoring-Phonics/Literacy/Grammar/Homework Help

Children will learn the necessary skills in reading, writing/and any phonics and grammar related material.  This could be through identification of letter sounds, sight words, CVC words, or more advanced such as grammar concept, sentence structure, sentence and essay writing. As your learner progresses, we will be adding more learning opportunities and building on what we have learned.  Never stop learning and never stop growing. :-)

I am a certified teacher with over 15 years of experience. I have taught English/Writing/Journalism to PreK-12 as well as college English in both a traditional public school setting as well as virtually.  Through my love of learning and teaching combined with my patience and understanding, I will tailor the learning needs of your child to develop the most efficient and appropriate method of learning.  Every child learns differently and at a different pace.  So let's work together to build the confidence and skills needed to develop your child into the best reader and writer possible. :-)  Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of confidence to make a world of difference.  This is a fun class and my goal is to have your child smiling and full of pride of what was accomplished. :-)  

I will be providing worksheets after each lesson to reinforce what we learned that day.  Learners will be able to practice the sight words, vowel sounds, and CVC words that we have covered.  Through repetition, your child will gain the skills needed to become a confident and fluent reader and writer.  

Each learner is assessed individually.  We will go at your child's pace.  I will be sending updates to let you know how your child is doing and to share what we have been working on.  

30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Learners will not need to access any other sources other than the Outschool tools.
