Description
Class Experience
The goal of dryland training is to develop the core, increase body muscle tone, build body awareness, and to help maintain a stronger stroke when swimming. Students will build mental and physical strength through participation.
I have been swimming my entire life. I competed for 13 years in the pool, 4 of those being a student-athlete at Boise State University. My love of teaching, fitness, and competition has helped me develop as a coach over the last 10 years. It's important that everyone feels a sense of success from the point that they start at so I strive to make goals that are attainable.
There is no homework for this course, but students will be encouraged to continue mastering movements or attending future classes.
The following items are strongly suggested, but not required to participate: -tennis shoes -comfortable clothing that allows for full range of motion -yoga mat or towel -space to move!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
A tracking sheet will be provided. This is only for student's use and to help them track their progress as they complete workout movements, multiple workouts, etc.
1 hour 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
