This is a 3 day course that meets 3x per week. The student will develop technique with clear, but positive teaching and correction. Ballet & correct technique will be taught & corrected and confidence will be built!
Class experience
This class will be a Ballet Intensive class focused for students serious about their Ballet training. It will be for Beginner - Intermediate students who have prior training and who are looking to improve their Ballet technique outside of the classroom. We will do a full barre every class to focus and practice technique. We will also do center combinations every class, and conditioning exercises to improve strength and flexibility. Students will advance their technique and build confidence. Students will learn what works on their own body to achieve success in their dancing.
I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in dance from the University of New Hampshire. I have been dancing for over 30 years, and teaching for 18 of those years. I have experience teaching all over the world from the United States to Africa. I have run my own successful dance studio for over 6 years and have experience teaching all ages and abilities. I have taught the youngest recreational student to pre-professional students who have gone off to have expansive dance careers. If you are cautious about anything please just let me know and I will answer all questions you might have.
Homework Offered
No official homework will be assigned. I will give exercises they can do on their own time increase flexibility and strength throughout the lessons.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

The learner's progress is assessed verbally throughout each class.Grades Offered
A chair or barre for the beginning of class. Water nearby and comfortable clothes to dance in.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Ballet is not only an art form but a strenuous physical activity. I am well trained and aware of all the muscles in the body and how each one moves and interacts with the other. At times injuries do happen, however during every class I give explicit instructions on how to best avoid injury so that it is very unlikely to happen.
