Description
Class Experience
Students will develop an understanding in 5 units of study: Properties of Matter, Exploring Plant Life, Discovering Habitats, Earth Systems, and Space & Weather.
I have had over 10 years’ experience teaching elementary age students’ Science curriculum. I have created lessons, followed state and common core standards, and implemented them within a full classroom setting.
Homework will not be assigned, but any class worksheets or activities are encouraged to be completed before the next class.
Before each class, I will attach the printout that is needed for the upcoming lessons that week. Also for the few lessons where we will be creating a project, I will make sure to inform which supplies that will be needed on the class page.
Students will be assessed through informal assessments. If caregiver requests specific progress monitoring, I am glad to accommodate.
1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This unit has been based upon the compilation of many state standards. Those state standards were cross-checked to verify the most common occurring standards.
