Class Experience
Objective: This ongoing course offers students the experience to read various texts and analyze them closely on a second grade level while applying a specific skill for each class. Students will explore vocabulary, story elements, reading strategies like: comprehension, asking/answering questions, comparing and contrast, making predictions, inferencing, reading fluency, and writing. Class Structure: I will begin class by introducing the learning target for each lesson. We will explore the...
Students will strengthen reading strategies such as comprehension, compare and contrast, asking questions, making predictions and inferencing. Students will have exposure to various texts, story elements, and vocabulary that will provide them with opportunities to apply what they have learned in class and build on reading fluency and accuracy.
Related class documents will be posted after each class for students to complete at their leisure. This will allow for more practice and application of the reading skill.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will provide feedback for each student after each lesson. I will informally assess students by questioning and through class work completed.
